A traditionally style teddy bear in a very old-fashioned color! Braeburn has red curly kid mohair known as "alfonso red",
which is a lovely cheery shade of red with a golden backing. The original "Alfonzo" was a
famous historical teddy bear once owned by Russia's Princess Xenia (the real Alfonzo bear currently lives at
Teddy Bears of Witney, a British teddy bear shop!).
Well, our Braeburn bear may not have royal blood, but don't tell him that! We continued his traditional teddy
styling with golden genuine wool felt paws, black glass eyes, a stitched black nose and a sturdy teddy bear tail.
His red-on-gold coloring reminded us of apples, and that led us to the name Braeburn as 'Braeburn'
happens to be the name of a red and gold type of apple! You know what they say about apples,
and we're thinking that perhaps a teddy bear hug a day from Braeburn will keep the doctor away just as effectively!
